The Baking

The final logo features a stylized infinity symbol that subtly integrates the letters 'S' and 'C' to create a distinct mark with layered meaning. The shape reflects the tagline “Let the Taste Be Forever,” symbolizing timeless flavor and lasting impact. It also represents the continuous creativity of the kitchen, with unlimited combinations and endless meals.

The clean curves and symmetry give it both elegance and energy, making it a bold statement across uniforms, packaging, and digital spaces. The color palette of bold yellow, orange, and black give a lively feel, evoking warmth and flavor.

The Frosting

We extended the identity across a full suite of materials: business cards, flyers, branded aprons, and uniforms. The system is clean, vibrant, and functional, and flexible enough for everything from takeout bags to social media templates. The new brand captures the promise of Selah Cuisine: a meal you’ll never forget.

The Missing Ingredients

The original design leaned on literal imagery, with a palm tree and sunset that felt more like a tourist gift shop or vacation spot than premium cuisine. The typography reduced legibility, especially at small sizes or when printed on packaging. As a result, the logo did not scale well across print or digital.

The Craving

Rebecca expressed a deep love for black and yellow, had a memorable tagline, “Let the Taste Be Forever,” and needed a visual identity that looked more modern, professional, and restaurant-ready. The old logo felt dated and lacked the clean, polished presence needed to build brand recognition.

The Recipe

Although we didn’t do a full brand strategy process for this project, the direction was clear. Selah Cuisine needed a logo that stood out, looked sharp across menus and uniforms, and carried meaning. The name "Selah" itself means forever, so we used that as our visual starting point.
